Will I need a touch up? I have been trying my best to take care of it, It is on my foot. It has peeled on it's own, I have avoided touching it too.My tattoo is 7 days old. Peeling, and now my red ink is hot pink! Normal? Any advice? Will it be red again?
Often when applying red ink, during the healing process, it will appear pink. Is the top layer of the tattoo smoothing out and appear kind of shiny? The top layer of skin is healing, and since the ink is deeper, it will make it look kind of pink. If after 4-6 weeks, it hasn't regained its redness, just go back and the artist and have them take a look. Sounds pretty normal though. Best wishes!!!My tattoo is 7 days old. hmm were you applying ointment in the beginning and bandaging it after? if so after two days of washing and bandaging, remove your bandages and leave your tattoo dry for 7 to 10 days, or until your tattoo is FULLY healed... your tat should be fully healed when the peeling and flaking is totally done. you should begin to use lotion on your tat likeee 7 to 10 days after you get it done if all the scabbing is done..but flaking is totally okay and normal on like the 5th day or so on. Do NOT exercise or sweat until tattoo is totally done healing sweat can cause infection and can damage your tattoo maybe thats why your red is pink?
You probably will need a touch up just based on the location.
My red ink has looked hot pink during a heal. This can be normal depending on your complexion. Wait until you are fully healed (2-4 weeks) and it isn't shiny anymore to judge accurately whether you are satisfied with the color.
it is normal for it to peel and be a little red. but i don't know about the red turning hot pink. the red on mine never did that. i would call the place to double check because it will only fade lighter from this point on.
its not normal for it to be pink. I dont think it will go back to its normal color. but, most tattoo artists back up their work and you can get it touched up good luck!
