It's going to be a big difference. Since the majority of America can't afford to go to private schools, it seems as though there is a more affluent class of people that attend. When you enter public school, the people are going to be much more diverse. I think you would be shocked at all of the difference that you will. i hate public schools.... the food is nasty.... the bathrooms are dirty..... its nothing like a public school- sry that im being negative but its all true
the biggest difference is that not everyone is going to know you and your not going to be as close to everyone as it is in a private school. my advice is develop a group of friends that you can count on. don't get caught up in all the ';cool'; thing to do and be yourself. public schools are full of diversity so it should be easy to find people just like you!

prepare yourself for disgusting food.
Find a club or sport that you really like and join so you can develop a group of friends with the same interests as you. Plus getting involved makes school more fun.
