Have athritis in both knees, need a carreer change any advice would be great?

I have arthritis in both knees and this is what helped me.

(1) Lose weight - I was obese and still am but closer to overweight now. I need to lose another 10 pounds, but as i lost weight my arthritis pain lessened.

(2) I do not know if there is any correlation wit eating red meat and arthritis but as i reduced my red meat intake I felt better.

(3) Avoid climbing stairs - I live in a 2 story house and the bedroom is upstairs. Climbing stairs used to exacerbate the problem so I made some adjustments and now use the stairs just once per day.

(4) Light walking helps - not heavy exercise. It keeps my joints from getting ';stiff';

I don't like to read stuff on the internet regarding arthritis- they just tend to confuse me. I did the above and am getting better daily.Have athritis in both knees, need a carreer change any advice would be great?
can you tell me more about the athritis, how it is affecting you and where the pain starts?
