The four sites have a lot of great info, the first two have some really good tips and explanations of basics and terminology, and other two have lots of forum and article information on various techniques and even more tips. Have fun!

Canon has a wonderful site (above) and even if you don't own a Canon you can learn from the advice.
Ken Rockwell has a site with loads of advice.
