You will have to work hard, but in the end it will all be worth it. I am currently working toward my Nursing degree and I am a single mother to a great 2 year old son. I wish I would have finished school before I became a mother, because I have to work twice as hard as I would have had to at your age. Life will through you curve balls so take this opportunity while you can before it is gone. You will need a job with retirement, insurance, vacation and sick leave, opportunity for advancement, etc.; and this is the job that you will be able to do that in. If you decide to travel instead of staying where you are, you can do that. Get in touch with a counselor at a college of your choice and get to know that person. Understand financial aid as well; these are mistakes I made going into school undecided. Good Luck on your decision.I am a 22 year old who is thinking about going to school for nursing? Any good advice? Good or bad time to go?
Take your time. Study something that you would like to do every day. If you have a college in mind request a catalog, read the credits that you have to take first. Medical field could be a pain sometimes, specially with the MATH. Make sure before making a decision. GOOD LUCK%26gt;

Well, I'm in high school and my school has a CNA program. Helps us get internships and jobs in the future,etc. School for nursing is a good idea, its a fast growing job and you get good benefits.
I got my CNA lisences last year when I was 17, I don't like the work but I'm using my CNA training to get my college set and paid for. Working as a CNA, you get to be around real nurses who have been in the field and who can help you when your studying or getting your certication.
With CNA,you can get paid and go to school get advice from your coworkers. If your lucky like some of the kids in my class. They got there CNA and volunteer at the hostipal and now are getting grants from them to go to nursing school.
good deal if your trying to start a a good job and trying to have a stable job in this economy.
