It could have been from his sister showing him or from just randomly seeing that soft things feel good. If it was his sister then she could have found out without anyone else telling her. The way to deal with this is to talk openly with them and see where it originates from. No, kids ';experiment'; with themselves all the time. It's actually quite common for young kids to explore with themselves and even masturbate regularly. It's really normal, as strange as it seems.


Most kids discover that ';touching'; themselves down there causes almost a tickling sensation. So...using the cat is pretty much extremely inappropriate, but he shouldn't be raised told that doing that (with himself, not a kitty) is wrong.
sexual perversions are more common and natural than most people think. take it easy and for god's sake just dont traumatize him about it. that will make things much worse. just give him some straight talk about sex and answer his questions and let him know that using animals to stimulate yourself is not good. its always possible that the kid has a history of sexual abuse but that doesnt mean he's going to grow up into a monster.





the most important thing for you to do as a parent (are you the parent?) is to have ';the talk'; with him, be honest and dont scare him or embarass him any more than he probably already is.
He's most likely just curious. Talk to him, and ask him he does the things he does. That might help you figure it out. Trust me I knew a few kids who were that young doing sexual stuff because they saw it on TV or in the R rated movies that there parents took them too.

sounds as if this is not your son. seems strange to me. not sure how you should handle it though. it's hard to interfere with families, because you just don't know. who ever told you this should see how this child can be watched more often. he may have something else going on in his life. good luck.
take your son to the doctor, explain the situation and see what is recommended. Child therapist may be in order. Unfortunately I had the same thought you did, someone may have been inappropriate with your son and the sooner you get him help the better!
