My 9 month old puppy is very shy and hasn't used the bathroom in more than a day. Any advice?

Talk to him in a soothing voice and spend a lot of time with him.Take him out on a leash until he goes to the bathroom he is probably stressed.Make sure that when he is out going with you that you socialize him with others and other animals expose him slowly to outside stimulus so that he get more confident,Dog parks long walks kids.Show him lots of love and attention,good luck
Put him in a big roomy cage or a big room and put some food and water out for him...then leave him alone. He'll probably be eating and going to the bathroom if you don't bother him He'll have to go sometime. and eat sometime too!
He just needs to adjust to his new surroundings. Chances are he's gone too, take a look around your house.
be patient with her and be very calm and assertive while not babying her. If you baby her you will reinforce this bad behavior
